Sacroiliac Joint Injections: Sacroiliac joints are small joints in the low back and buttocks where the pelvis joins the spine. Injecting local anesthetic into the sacroiliac joint will help confirm the joint as a source of pain and the steroid will help to reduce any inflammation that may exist within the joint.

Transforaminal Epidural Steroid Injections: The transforaminal injection uses a smaller amount of the steroid and provides a more precise delivery method to deliver the steroids exactly near the involved nerve root.
