Referrals:

  • If your insurance requires a referral from your primary care physician, please call that physician for the referral number or bring your paper referral. If you do not have this number or paper referral, unfortunately, you would be responsible for the bill at the time of your visit.

Worker's Compensation/No Fault:

  • If your visit is due to an accident, such as under a Workers’ Compensation or No Fault claim, it is imperative that we have all insurance information prior to your appointment. If you did not have this information when your appointment was made, please call our office prior to your visit so that we can verify the information with the insurance company. If you do not provide this information prior to your visit, you will be responsible for payment.

Our billing team is comprised of highly- experienced medical billers, proficient in working with Workers’ Compensation, No-Fault, Medicare, and commercial insurance carriers. Our surgical billing staff are certified with the American Association of Professional Coders. Their advanced expertise will provide you with a clear understanding of your insurance benefits and the many challenges with understanding payments, denials, and the appeals process.

LISS keeps up with the most current changes in the insurance and coding industry. We adhere to all New York State regulations by making available the: Surprise Bill Act: which provides you a list of all entities that may be involved with your care, HIPAA Compliance documents, and an Appointment of Representative Form, which allows our billing team to act as your representative in case an insurance claim is denied and an appeal is necessary.

The entire team, including our Patient Accounts Liaison, take pride in making sure that all our patients’ concerns and questions are handled with compassion and privacy.
